Did you know that banana may not be a good idea for dinner?
Okay, there are two reasons this is so. It is known to aggravate mucus formation. So, its not a good idea for someone having cough, cold, asthma or sinus issues. Remember, that generally one is prone to cold and infections at night. So, you don’t want to complicate issues if you already have a related condition.
Secondly, banana is a heavy fruit, it takes a long time to digest. And you don’t want your body working over time when its supposed to be winding down and when metabolism ought to be at its lowest. It could lead to indigestion. Generally, bananas make you feel lethargic and lazy. So, all that said, if you must eat banana at night, make sure you have it 2-3 hours before you hit the bed and in small quantity.
Generally, bananas are better taken during the day when its easier to digest and it supplies a lot of energy.
